Preview of Ft. Atkinson Living History on WOWT Outdoors

Join me this week on my WOWT-TV/Channel 6 outdoors segment when we preview the exciting living history weekend (May 4th & 5th) at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park located on the east edge of Fort Calhoun. Fort Atkinson has fascinating history and is one of my favorite state historical parks in Nebraska!

Most likely the reason Fort Atkinson is so special to me is that Park Superintendent John Slader lets me borrow and use the U.S. Army’s 1820’s uniform for my various presentations about the fort! I always appreciate that John, and it’s more fun than fun should be allowed!

Don’t miss my outdoors segment which airs on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 and on its website @  www.wowt.com LIVE on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. CST during the station’s sportscast.

If you’re unable to view the live version of the report, video replays of it can be seen after the initial cast at this link: www.wowt.com/sports The outdoor report can also be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox CableChannel 120. Additionally, Channel 6 runs it on Saturdays later in the station’s hour-long 8 a.m. newscast. The Channel 6 Sports Machine crew and I thank you for watching!
