Visit Outdoor Adventure at Indian Cave SP

LINCOLN, Neb. – Enjoy a fun day of activities along the Missouri River at the Outdoor Adventure on April 20 at Indian Cave State Park (SP).

Activities include a mushroom hunt, youth horseback rides, hayrack tours and demonstrations of black powder shooting, wood carving, Dutch oven cooking and living history. There also will be exhibits of bats and pelts, an Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium fish display, archery shooting, a Raptor Recovery program and a birding workshop.

The Morel Mile and 5K races begin at 8 a.m., with registration at 7 a.m. The fee is $20 or $15 for those who register by April 15. A T-shirt is included in the registration.

Catfish, fries and cole slaw will be served at a noon fish fry. The cost is $9 for adults (age 13 and above) and $6 for children.
